Prayer Partners,
In James 5:16 we are reminded that "the prayer of a
righteous man is powerful and effective." That goes for the women
too! I encourage you today to follow the Lord's paths of righteousness and
to use this powerful tool of prayer to support your brothers and sisters in
God's service.
Let's Pray:
Father,
We praise You for
- Your Spirit's presence in Canchias when the School of Discipleship students held their weekend event for 50 youth from a half dozen Brazos Abiertos churches. It was exciting to see the leadership and servanthood skills of the students being used to encourage these teens to be "Heroic Young People", following in the footsteps of Heroes of the Faith like Moses.
- The camaraderie among the Brazos Abiertos pastors as they elected officers from among themselves for the coming year. Thank You for the strong leadership that exists among these men of God.
- For the successful drilling of a needed well at an orphange, and the new-to-us method which will get water for many people who are without clean water.
We pray today for:
- The church in Potrerillos, pastored by Jhonny and Paola, which is reaching out to Youth. Help them as they strive to get kids off the streets, out of gangs, and into the Lord.
- The church in La Ceibita, pastored by Manolo and Roxana, which is working with their Sister Church in Nebraska to develop the community in character and spiritually. Their desire is that their plans be Your plans, so we ask that You give them Your wisdom and Your ideas for this great work. And for the church in Nebraska, we join their pastor's prayer that they be a congregation that focuses on those outside the doors of their building.
- The SOD students as they minister their remaining three weeks of their missionary practicum. Lord, we ask that You deluge them more with Your Spirit than they have been deluged with rain! Give them creativity and boldness and opportunity to reach out to those who are not yet in the Kingdom in their places of ministry:
- In San Luis Planes: Ana, Yessi, and Luis
- In Somoto, Nicaragua: Angela, Oscar and Alberto.
- In Ocotal: Jorge "Tito"
- in El Salvador: Karen, Nelson, Santos Tito, Melvin and Halver
- In Matagalpa: Carlos and Darwin
- In Peña Blanca: Milton, Cristofer
- The team from Salem Church in Ohio as they are in Honduras this week and have expressed a desire to "meet the people in our Sister Church in Robledales where they are" . Bless their VBS sessions and their medical and construction work, that in every way the North Americans and the Hondurans will be blessed by Your Spirit.
- The youth from Maiden Lane Church in Ohio as they are experiencing Youth Camp, Honduran style this week. Bless Matt Garrett as he directs their activities. We ask that every youth receive a special touch from You in this week.
We continue to seek Your guidance for:
- Staffing decisions
- Resolution of legal matters related to properties and employees.
We ask Your presence with Gordon, Pastor Alfredo, Jose and others as they meet in Honduras this week to look at the above items, and at future plans for Heart to Honduras. Give them Your vision and Your wisdom. Place in their path the people whom You have chosen to lead us to the next, exciting level!
We are grateful for Your provision for us in the past, and we rely on You totally for that same provision as we go forward under Your leadership.
In Jesus' Name, AMEN.

to your Father." ~Jesus
