International Business Consultant
Ron comes from a family that has dedicated most of their lives to economic
development in their home country of Bolivia. With a Fulbright Scholarship,
he obtained a Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering and Management
at Oklahoma State University. His work experience includes the Federal
Reserve Bank of Bolivia, the Ministry of Economic Planning, private
enterprise and education. He taught at undergraduate and graduate levels,
and was first principal and co-founder of an English Christian School in La
Paz for the Network of International Christian Schools. Ron and his wife
Esther, and children (Ian, Mikael, and Dasha), work well as a missionary
team. Leaving his home in Bolivia in obedience to the Lord, he works with
us in Honduras and Ohio since September, 2005. His main duties include
project evaluation and feasibility studies; directing and training local staff;
developing long-term business plans; promoting international commerce;
coordinating engineering projects and raising international awareness to
channel resources to create small businesses and job opportunities and
promote sustainable community development for the poorest people in the
rural areas in Central America. His bilingual skills, work experience and international travel enable effective
coordination between stateside and field staff.
