Impact goals

Our work is defined by measureable areas of impact.

All of our collaborative work and funding supports the activities and programs designed to fulfill one, some, or all of the following seven impact goals:

People who recognize their true identity in Christ.


  • People who see themselves as sons and daughters of God
  • People who live out their true identity and model it to others
  • People who are strong in their faith and prepared to do good works

People who experience a greater sense of belonging within their community.


  • Evidence of local initiative and interest in the development of their communities
  • Community members who recognize their village as a place of opportunity and development
  • Harmony and a shared goal within the community

Local collaborators equipped and trained for their specific function within the community.


  • Collaborators prepared, organized, and empowered to make shared decisions for the well-being of the entire community
  • Transparency in the execution of activities and projects
  • Conflicts resolved with greater maturity and responsibility
  • Sustainable use of available local resources

Unity among Community Based Organizations (CBOs) within participating communities.


  • Effective communication that fosters unity among CBOs
  • Healthy, just, transparent relationships between the community, CBOs, local government, local collaboration, and outside collaborators
  • Broader understanding of the mission of the church (to reconcile broken relationships)

Sustainable and adequate income for families within participating rural communities.


  • Families demonstrate basic principles of financial administration
  • Income-generating opportunities for both genders
  • Expanded possibilities for earning fair market value for products produced within the community
  • Collaborators who look to invest in opportunities to generate employment within the communities

Care and protection of wild plants and animals within our region.


  • Communities that are educated and active in the care of wild plants and animals
  • Communities that are active in reforestation
  • Collaboration within a network of civil organizations in their efforts to care for the environment.

Healthy, just relationships and policies within and between the governments that affect participating Honduran communities.


  • Support and empowerment of communities to approach local governments with requests and proposals
  • Cultivation of healthy relationships between communities and the local government
  • Inclusive programs that benefit all groups within the community, especially those who are marginalized
  • Fair and just policies at both the local and international level which will directly benefit the communities in our sphere of influence
